Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic Showcases
More Than Racing
Swap meet, show, ride, clubs featured
The June 11-13, 2010 Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin offers more than spectacular vintage motorcycle racing presented by the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA). On top of the nearly four hundred priceless antique and classic bikes competing in four venues of competition, the weekend also features a swap meet, bike show, a road ride and club corrals.
Not only will the machines be competing on the legendary four-mile Road America track, AHRMA has constructed three off-road courses on the 640 acre facility to accommodate vintage and post-vintage motocross, cross country and observed trials events.
Classic Events will be presenting a vintage motorcycle swap meet in the Infield between Turn 14 and the Paddock. Old bike collectors and enthusiasts can shop for bikes, parts, literature and memorabilia from over fifty vendors.
Not only will the wax and polish be out for the Moving Bike Show presented by Motorcycle Classics magazine, but the chain lube and tire pressure gauges will get a workout as participants complete a forty mile ride through the scenic Kettle Moraine countryside. After the ride, the bikes will be judged and trophies will be presented in six classes.
The Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC) is the Featured Club Corral for 2010. Vintage motorcycle clubs and organizations from throughout the region will be manning Club Corral booths. Clubs will display their bikes, sell memberships and club regalia, and have a gathering place for members.
Join Jim Forster of Spring Grove, IL, winner of the Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic VIP Weekend Package for a fun family excursion back to the Golden Days of motorcycling. Forster entered at the Chicago International Motorcycle Show. The International Motorcycle Shows are a proud sponsor of the Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic.
